karang dan berbatu, 0–150 m; sirip punggung tinggi dan berpangkal tepat sebelum
bukaan insang, warna kepala dapat berubah dari gelap ke kuning, tubuh dan sirip
dengan bintik-bintik coklat tidak teratur dipisahkan oleh retikulum tipis pucat
yang bergabung menjadi garis-garis pucat di dekat ujung ekor; Indo–Pasifik; 150
cm.
