kedalam famili Serranidae, Hidup di Terumbu karang, 5–50 m; 7 atau 8 duri sirip
punggung, sirip ekor emarginate, sirip perut tanpa bintik-bintik biru, mirip
dengan 51.61 tetapi berbeda karena memiliki bintik di kepala berukuran sekitar
dua kali ukuran lubang hidung dan beberapa bintik di kepala, dan tubuh
memanjang; Indo–Pasifik Barat; sampai 125 cm.
