kedalam famili Scaridae, hidup di Terumbu karang dan berbatu, 0–25 m; 2 deret
sisik di bawah mata, pelat gigi sebagian besar tertutup bibir, fase awal coklat
kemerahan dengan moncong lebih pucat dan sirip perut merah, jantan kehijauan
bergaris merah muda di sisik dan merah muda dengan beberapa garis kehijauan di
perut; Indo–Pasifik; sampai 30 cm.
